## Identify the exact nursing post

Staff Nurse recruitment notices name a service, group, level, and appointment category. Those details determine which pay scale and service conditions apply; private, grant-funded, and government appointments may differ.

Check the current [Public Service Commission notices](https://psc.gov.np/category/notice) for the exact nursing post and recruitment cycle. The Commission lists Staff Nurse recruitment and exam information under specific advertisement numbers. Match that post to the applicable [Ministry of Finance salary scale](https://fcgo.gov.np/content/404/salary-of-national-service-employees-effective-from/), then check the relevant rules through the [Ministry of Health and Population](https://mohp.gov.np/).

The health-service schedule effective from 2083 Shrawan 1 lists a starting basic salary of NPR 38,203 for the assistant fifth-level row. Use it only if the current Staff Nurse vacancy and appointment classify the post in that row; this is basic pay and excludes conditional allowances and deductions.

## Calculate only from applicable terms

For a useful estimate, record the designation and level, starting grade, effective date of the scale, authorized allowances, employee contributions, and tax. Do not assume that every nurse receives a risk or remote-posting allowance, or that two employers use identical terms. Retirement benefits depend on the applicable law and appointment or contribution scheme.

This is a source-checking and calculation guide, not a current Staff Nurse salary table. For preparation, follow the [official Staff Nurse recruitment notices](https://psc.gov.np/category/notice) and use the syllabus named in the relevant advertisement.
